1. Engage in telephone conversations in German, including identifying self, stating the reason for calling, and making an appointment. (I)
2. Participate in interviews conducted in German, including asking and answering questions. (II)

4. Make reservations on public transportation, rent a car, and complete customs forms in German. (III)
5. Carry out banking and post office procedures in German. (IV)
6. Use telecommunications such as fax and telex in German. (IV)
