Overview of modern telephone system. Telephone switching and modulation techniques. Familiarization with AM(amplitude modulation) and FM(frequency modulaation) circuits. Operation of asynchronous and sychronous modems. Prerequisites: (ELE122 or ELE123) and ELE131.
