A review of the mathematics used in the drafting and design trades, with emphasis on measurements and applications.

1. Apply arithmetic methods to the solution of problems in concrete mixtures, inventories, and various other word problems associated with construction and technical design. (I-IV)
2. Use the hand calculator for arithmetic calculations. (I-V, VII)
3. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. (I)
4. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and mixed numbers. (II)
5. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimal fractions. (III)
6. Round numbers to achieve various levels of precision. (III)
7. Change fractions and decimals to percent and vice versa. (III)
8. Solve ratio problems and apply the method to problems in slopes and roof pitches. (IV)
9. Identify and use engineering, mechanical, and architectural scales correctly. (V)
10. Identify and use calipers and micrometers to measure small parts. (VI)
11. Use the metric system units to make calculations and convert to English units as necessary. (VII)
