Environmental Design Drafting III
Focus on conventional board and computerized drafting in the fields of architecture, interior design, and construction. Development of knowledge and skills required to begin drafting a set of assigned commercial working drawings. Prerequisites: DFT151 or department permission.

1. Compare and contrast commercial and residential working drawings, to include typical considerations, office and City procedures, consultants, and other elements. (I)
2. Identify and describe the determinates and elements of commercial site, floor, electrical, mechanical, reflected ceiling, and plumbing plans. (II-VII)
3. Generate a preliminary office floor plan using conventional board drafting, and develop a site plan using computerized drafting. (II)
4. Generate a preliminary lower level office floor plan using conventional board drafting, and develop both lower and upper level plans using computerized drafting. (III)
5. Generate a preliminary office electrical plan using conventional board drafting, and develop a finished electrical "layer", key, and fixture schedule using computerized drafting. (IV)
6. Generate a preliminary office mechanical plan using conventional board drafting, and develop a finished mechanical "layer" using computerizeddrafting. (V)
7. Generate a preliminary office reflected ceiling plan using conventional board drafting, and develop a finished reflected ceiling plan using computerized drafting. (VI)
8. Generate a preliminary office plumbing plan and waste and vent riser using conventional board drafting, and develop a finished plumbing "layer", waste and vent riser, using computerized drafting. (VII)
