Insert successfully oral and nasal airways, the Esophogeal Obturator
Airway (EOA) and Esopageal Gastric Obturator Airway (EGTA).

Apply correctly the face mask, nasal cannula, and bag-valve-mask
devices, noting the percentage of oxygen delivered for each adjunct.
|
3.
|
Perform correctly endotracheal intubation.
|
4.
|
Interpret correctly basic EKG rhythm disturbances.
|
5.
|
Identify the dysrhythmia and predict the anticipated mechanical,
pharmacologic, and electrical interventions.
|
6.
|
State the indications, contraindications, use and abuse for each
medication.
|
7.
|
Perform all the skills in basic life support for "C" level
certification, i.e. one- and two-man CPR for adult and child;
conscious and unconscious obstructed maneuvers for adult, child, and
infant victims; CPR for infant victims.

8.
|
Explain and perform safely electrical interventions when given a
patient simulation for unstable supraventricular tachycardia, unstable
ventricular tachycarida, and ventricular fibrillation.
|
9.
|
As the leader of the response team, manage each memeber of the team by
evaluating CPR, airway management, and electrical and pharmacologic
intervention when given a "code" situation.
|
10.
|
Complete a written exam of fifty multiple choice questions covering
all materials with no less than 84 percent proficiency.
|
11.
|
Complete a written patient management examination; identify the rhythm
disturbance presented and the anticipated mechanical, pharmacologic,
and/or electrical interventions for each situation within 84 percent
proficiency, including 100 percent accuracy in the management of
ventricular fibrillation tachycardia, and asystole.
