Introduction to Construction
Familiarization of basic concepts of construction. Includes an overview of city and regional planning, managing, contracting, and labor-management relations. Basic theory of building production including surveying and mapping, design and engineering, drawings and specifications, estimating and bidding, scheduling and purchasing, equipment, materials, foundations, framing, and installation of utilities. Prerequisites: None.
