Introductory course on the occurrence of mineral deposits in Arizona. Topics include the structure of mineral deposits, techniques for locating mineral deposits, how to determine if a mineral deposit is economic, and the rocks and minerals associated with the different mineral deposits. Includes a one day field trip to local mines or mineral deposits. Prerequisites: None.
