Intermediate Emergency Medical Technology
Provides the Emergency Medical Technician with advanced knowledge about acute critical differences in physiology, pathophysiology and clinical symptoms, as they pertain to pre-hospital emergency care. Development of diagnostic and advanced emergency medical treatment skills necessary to care for acutely ill and seriously injured. Prerequisites: EMT/FSC100. Comprehensive written, oral and practical evaluation required prior to selection for this course. One year's field experience as Basic Emergency Medical Technician also required.
