Nomenclature, development, eruption patterns, crown and root morphology, blood and nerve supply of the human dentition. Embryonic development of the oral cavity, embryonic anomalies of the lip and palate. Temporomandibular joint, muscles of mastication. Theoretical background of elements of functional assessment of oral structures. Prerequisites: (Admission to the Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene Programs) or permission of instructor.
