Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Basic Cardiac Life Support

Designed to train students in the skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation to include mouth-to-mouth, mouth-to-mask, and cardiac compression, stabilization of adult, infant, and child victims with airway obstruction, respiratory, and cardiac arrest.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Basic Cardiac Life Support

 

1.

Describe the need for CPR training. (I)

2.

Manage an obstructed airway in a conscious patient using American Heart Association basic life support standards. (II, III)

3.

Manage an obstructed airway in an unconscious patient using American Heart Association basic life support standards. (IV)

4.

Manage a respiratory arrest in a patient using American Heart Association basic life support standards. (V)

5.

Manage a cardiac arrest in a patient using American Heart Association basic life support standards. (VI)

6.

Perform 2 man CPR using American Heart Association basic life support standards. (II, III, IV, V, VI)
