Proper climbing techniques for new climbers. Inspection and maintenance of pole climbing equipment, the equipment used in pole climbing, and how to maintain it.

4.         Demonstrate the use, maintenance, and inspection of climbing equipment. (II)

5.         Demonstrate basic climbing techniques to a height of fifteen feet. (II, III)

6.         Demonstrate and explain proper techniques for safetying on and safetying off. (III)

7.         Describe the guidelines used for planning a climbing job. (IV)
