Field run specifications, rigging equipment needs, load weights, assembly systems and support needs. Also includes fabricating field run piping and vessel trim.

Prerequisites: Registered apprentice status or permission of the Apprenticeship Coordinator.

1.         Describe the procedures and techniques required to secure a work area to field-route pipe. (I)

2.         Explain specific methods for determining field run specifications. (II)

3.         Given weight, location and configuration of a job, determine required rigging equipment. (III)

4.         Identify specific types of erection connections and list the materials required for these connections. (IV)

5.         Demonstrate screw pipe, socket weld pipe and butt weld pipe assembly systems and list specific applications of each. (V)

6.         Fabricate and test field run piping. (VI)

7.         Erect specific vessel trim. (VII)
