ICE229 20076-20076 LEC 2 Credit(s) 2 Period(s)
Magnetic Resonance Imagery for Cross-Sectional Anatomy
Three dimensional anatomy presented in transverse, sagittal and coronal planes of specified regions of the human body as viewed from magnetic resonance imagery. Includes structure identification of the bones, muscles, vascular system, organs, soft tissue components and weighted imaging.
Prerequisites: Graduate of a related medical program of study and currently registered as a technologist in radiography, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy or sonography.

ICE229   20076-20076 Magnetic Resonance Imagery for Cross-Sectional Anatomy
1. Identify specified anatomical regions of the human body as seen in transverse, sagittal and coronal planes on magnetic resonance images. (I-VI)
2. Interpolate anatomic relationships of structures using medial, lateral, superior and inferior directional terms. (I- III)
3. State the specific locations of the parietal and visceral layers of pleura, pericardium, and peritoneum. (IV-V)
4. Describe the locations, subdivisions and contents of the dorsal and ventral body cavities. (IV-V)
5. Describe the differentiation between the two relaxation processes and their uses in magnetic resonance imaging. (VII)
