Overview and practical application of teaching mathematics in K-8 grades. Development of lesson plans and assessment instruments emphasized. Current trends, State Board of Education Professional Teaching Standards and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standards also covered.
Prerequisites: Must hold a provisional or standard elementary, secondary or special education teaching certificate.
