Teaching in the Middle School
Overview of teaching in the middle school grades five through nine. Topics include characteristics of young adolescents, responsibilities of teaching teams, middle school curriculum, design and interdisciplinary versus integrated units of study. Classroom management techniques and effective teaching strategies also covered.
Prerequisites: Must hold a provisional or standard elementary, secondary or special education teaching certificate.
