Mathematics Techniques and Methods
Overview and practical application of teaching mathematics in K-8 grades. Development of lesson plans and assessment instruments emphasized. Current trends, Arizona State Board of Education Professional Teaching Standards and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standards also covered. Includes 20 hours field experience. Prerequisites: Formal admission to a state approved undergraduate teacher preparation program, and (EDU270, EDU272, and MAT122).
 
Course Note:Requires twenty (20) hours of field experience in an elementary or secondary classroom environment.
