Overview and practical application of teaching methodology and curriculum development for secondary teachers in special topics such as Music, Theater, Art, Economics, Foreign Languages, Computers, PE, etc. Teaching strategies and learning styles covered. Curriculum design, lesson objectives, time management skills, teaching resources and student assessment also included. Arizona State Board of Education Professional Teaching Standards emphasized, includes 20 hours field experience. Prerequisites or Corequisites: EDU215.
 
Course Note:Requires twenty (20) hours of field experience in a secondary classroom environment in the identified special topic of interest. The proposed course has been reviewed by the Arizona Department of Education, the State Board of Education and the Office of Superintendent for Public Instruction.
