Methods and Curriculum Development in Secondary Science
Overview and practical application of science teaching methodology and curriculum development for secondary teachers. Teaching strategies and learning styles covered. Curriculum design, lesson objectives, time management skills, teaching resources and student assessment also included. Arizona State Board of Education Professional Teaching Standards emphasized, includes 20 hours field experience. Prerequisites or Corequisites: EDU215.
 
Course Note:Requires twenty (20) hours of field experience in a secondary science classroom environment. The proposed course has been reviewed by the Arizona Department of Education, the State Board of Education and the Office of Superintendent for Public Instruction. The course covers the state standards in science. The content of the course prepares the student to apply for state teaching certification. A B
