Provides students with the capability to use IBM Adobe Photoshop graphics software on a microcomputer. Basic foundation course in the use of electronic techniques to create, manipulate, and edit images, text, abstract art, graphics design, and color graphics. Prerequisites: None.

1. Use a microcomputer and appropriate software to generate abstract art drawings, graphic designs and images. (I)
2. Create and manipulate abstract art, graphic designs and images. (II)

4. Create, select, apply a gradient, add text to, and link layers to affect them simultaneously. (III)
5. Using the pen tool, draw precise straight or curved lines. (IV)
6. Apply different blending modes, distort vector draw graphics, and match perspective of raster image. (V)
7. Using tools and three separate images, join elements from each image to create an original unique image. (V)
