1. Identify the four basic safety rules for firearms and how they relate to the moral and legal responsibilities of officers. (I)
2. Demonstrate the proper draw, loading, and unloading of the handgun. (II)
3. Demonstrate proper loading, manipulation, and unloading of the police shotgun. (III)
4. Demonstrate proper use of cover in a lethal confrontation. (IV)
5. Demonstrate firing positions used to fire from behind cover using the handgun and the shotgun. (IV)
6. Demonstrate firing the handgun and shotgun while moving. (V)
7. Demonstrate proper firing from a vehicle. (VI)
8. Demonstrate operating and firing the handgun and shotgun during injured officer drills. (VII)
9. Demonstrate proper low light firing techniques with and without handheld artificial illumination. (VIII)
