A skill building course on the proper manipulation and marksmanship of the police carbine. A basic course covering foundation techniques, including firing positions. Prerequisite: None. |

Identify the four safety rules applied to all firearms. (I) |
2. |
Demonstrate proper loading and unloading for the police carbine. (II) |
3. |
Demonstrate proper stance, sling usage, and safety manipulation. (III) |
4. |
Demonstrate the proper method of zeroing the carbine. (IV) |
5. |
Demonstrate proper firing techniques at varying distances. (V) |
6. |
Demonstrate the proper response to the initial rounds being delivered when the adversary still has a threatening posture (failure drill). (VI) |
7. |
Demonstrate proper carbine malfunction clearances. (VII) |
8. |
Demonstrate effective firing of the police carbine when moving. (VIII) |
9. |
Describe proper cleaning of the weapon. (IX) |
10. |
Describe the proper mind-set for lethal force situations. (X) |
11. |
Demonstrate proper low light firing with the carbine. (XI) |
12. |
Qualify on the police carbine qualification course by scoring at least 180 points (90%). (XII) |
