Advanced grammatical structures in Arabic. Further development of language skills with emphasis on speaking the language.

1.

Read paragraphs from Arabic newspaper, write compositions in Arabic, take dictation, translate sentences, read years in Arabic dates, and use Advanced Arabic dictionary. (I)

2.

Conjugate verbs, including past imperfect, imperfect verbs, command and passive voice, and use verbal nouns. (II)

3.

Define and use various forms of nouns in Arabic. (II)

4.

Define and use adjectives, adverbs in accusative case, and adverbs of time for past, present and future. (II)

5.

Use demonstrative plural pronouns haolae, and olaeka. (II)

6.

Use particle qad and the vocative. (II)

7.

Use relative pronoun al lazzy without antecedent. (II)

8.

Use the imperfect verb tense, including habitual action, progressive action, future action, and state no action. (II)

9.

Translate and define some Arabic Idioms. (III)

10.

Use welcoming and greeting expressions for afternoon, evening, and holidays. (IV)

11.

Describe current events taking place in the Arabic countries, and identify geographic and cultural diversities in the Arabic countries. (V)
