Plumbing Fabrication
Procedures for cutting and joining plastic pipe. Soldering and brazing copper tubing and the use of oxyacetylene equipment. Measuring, cutting, reaming, threading and assembling carbon steel pipe. Assembling cast iron soil pipe with lead and oakum joints and procedures for joining no-hub cast iron pipe. Making flared and compression joints with soft copper tubing. Procedures for cutting and joining clay and concrete pipe. Includes hands-on practice. Prerequisites: (Indentured status with the Arizona Builders Alliance) or permission of the apprenticeship coordinator.
