Studio course focusing on writing revisionist myths; prewriting, writing, analysis, evaluation, and revision of writing in several genres.

Prerequisites: Acceptance to the Creative Writing program or permission of the program coordinator.

Writing Studio Workshop II: Writing Revisionist Myths

 

1.

Use several discovery and prewriting techniques to draft revisionist myths. (I)

2.

Describe and identify the primary elements of revisionist myths. (II)

3.

Produce writing that effectively uses revisionist myths. (III)

4.

Analyze and evaluate revisionist myths by fellow students, by professional writers, and of the student's own. (IV)

5.

Use several revision techniques to develop and improve the student's use of revisionist myths in his or her own writing. (V)

6.

Submit a portfolio of writing that effectively uses revisionist myths and is in the appropriate manuscript form. (VI)
