1.	Analyze and evaluate novels by fellow students and oneself. (I)
2.	Use several revision techniques to develop and improve one's own novel. (II)
3.	Edit one's novel for precision, clarity, and adherence to conventions of spelling, mechanics, and grammar where appropriate. (III)
4.	Submit a complete novel in the appropriate manuscript form. (IV)
5.	Identify potential contests, publishers, or markets for one's novel. (V)
