Operating characteristics and use of electrical test equipment including ammeter, voltmeter, ohmmeter, volt-ohm milliammeter, wattmeter, megohmmeter, frequency meter, power factor meter, continuity tester, voltage tester and recording instruments. Reading and converting scales in testing meters. Polarity and definition of frequency. Prerequisites: (Indentured status with the Arizona Builders Alliance and ABC154) or (permission of the apprenticeship coordinator). | |||

3. | Read and convert scales of specific electrical test devices from one scale to another. (I) |
4. | Describe polarity and its importance to electrical testing equipment. (I) |
5. | Define frequency as it relates to testing equipment and describe the use of a frequency meter. (II) |
