Training in emergency medical care required at the scene of a traffic
accident. Designed for rescuers who are not ambulance emergency medical
technicians and who have limited medical care equipment available. Includes
training in roles and responsibilities at the accident scene; law relative
to rendering emergency care; stabilization of life-threatening emergencies;
recognition of illnesses or injuries encountered at accident scenes;
patient examination, diagnosis and triage; and ongoing access to patients
using simple tools carried in a vehicle and moving the injured.
