Conventional Airplane Flight Endorsement | |||
Aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements for a conventional airplane endorsement. Approximately 15 hours of flight experience in a conventional airplane at the student's expense and appropriate logbook endorsement are required. Prerequisites: Permission of instructor. May be taken concurrently with AET110 or AET220. | |||

1. | Demonstrate a preflight inspection with emphasis on wheels, brakes, and steering systems. (I) |
2. | Estimate the effect of wind when taxiing a conventional airplane and operate flight controls appropriately to compensate. (I) |
3. | Demonstrate normal, crosswind, short-field, and soft-field takeoff techniques. (II) |
4. | Demonstrate precise airplane control in slow flight situations including maneuvering and stalls. (III) |
5. | Compare and contrast different landing types, including wheel, three- point, and single wheel. (IV) |
6. | Demonstrate wheel and three-point precision landings to a preselected location. (IV) |
