Communication Skills in Counseling I
Development of communication skills important in establishing and maintaining effective helping relationships. Emphasis on four essential verbal skills: affective, emphatic, specific and exploratory responses. Use of modeling tapes, role-playing, videotaping and Interpersonal Process Recall Techniques relating to personal and career development. Prerequisites: BHS 101 with grade of "C" or better or departmental approval.
