An advanced course in the specialized area of organized crime in the United States and its major areas of criminal activity. Includes illegal gambling operations; loan sharking; bankruptcy fraud; labor racketeering; monopolistic and coercive competitive practices; illegal use of stocks, bonds, and credit cards; narcotic trafficking and organized vice operations. The application of search, wiretap and surveillance laws as they apply to organized crime investigation. Prerequisites: None.
