Cisco IP (Internet Protocol) Telephony
Knowledge of skills to install, configure, and maintain a Cisco CallManager, configure gateways, gatekeepers, switches, and build route plans to place intra-cluster and inter-cluster Cisco IP phone calls. Prerequisites: CNT240 or permission of instructor.

1. Configure Cisco CallManager for on-cluster calls, off-cluster calls, gateways, and inter-cluster trunks. (I)
2. Create a remote cluster route plan, describe and configure route patterns, and explain route filters. (I)
3. Describe the purpose and features of SRST and AAR and describe the functions and usage of CSS and partitions. (I)
4. Configure Cisco CallManager for Voice Mail, Extension Mobility, Conferencing, Music-on-hold, Call Park, Call Pickup, Call Forward and other IP Phone Services. (II)
5. Configure IPMA and Hunt Groups and create Media Resource Groups (MRG) and Media Resource Group Lists (MRGL). (II)
6. Deploy Cisco CallManager server in a cluster using a supported IP telephony deployment model. (III)
7. Configure Cisco IP Telephony authentication and encryption; harden the Cisco CallManager operating system and IP phones; and reduce toll fraud. (IV)
8. Describe fundamental cryptographic components, threats, and attacks as they relate to a voice network. (IV)
9. Configure Cisco CallManager to enable Cisco Attendant Console and Cisco IP Manager Assistant application. (V)
10. Generate call detail records and install and configure BAT, TAPS, and BARS. (V)
11. Make IP video telephony calls and describe the basic components and characteristics of video calls. (V)
12. Monitor and manage the Cisco CallManager system, calls, and IP telephony devices. (VI)
