Introduction
to Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) for Architecture, Interior Design, and
related professions using AutoCAD software. Includes basic set-ups,
architectural formats, two-dimensional drawing and editing commands,
dimensions, text, and plotting typical to the industries. Prerequisites: None. ARC121 suggested but
not required. |

Architectural CAD I: Introduction |
1.

Complete a drawing set-up in typical architectural
formats, including setting units, limits, layers, linetypes,
styles, and display. (I, II, IV) |

Apply basic two-dimensional draw commands typical to
architectural drawings. (II, IV) |
3.

Set and apply architecturally formatted dimension styles.
(II, IV) |
4.
|
Set and apply selected text styles. (II, IV) |
5.

Manage drawing files, including creating, naming, saving,
updating, copying, and inserting files. (III, IV) |
6.

Demonstrate the ability to set and apply selected hatch
patterns. (IV) |
7.

Apply basic modify commands. (IV, V) |
8.

Plot drawings at various scales on a variety of paper
sizes using Paper Space. (V) |
9.

Complete assigned plan and elevation drawings
successfully. (I-V) |
