1. Describe safe rigging practices using safety standards from OSHA section 1920 and 1926. (I)
2. Inspect wire rope, slings, and rigging hardware using American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B30.9 and manufacturer guidelines. (II)
3. Select slings and rigging hardware, attach safely to hoist loads, and complete simulated rigging tasks. (III)
4. Properly tie selected knots, hitches, and splices for safe and secure rigging procedures used on the job. (IV)
5. Demonstrate the proper hand and voice signals used to direct rigging operations at the jobsite. (V)
