Architectural Software (ADT) II: Commercial CAD
Use of Architectural Desktop, an architectural solid modeling software to generate features associated with commercial building design. CAD treatment of selected details and other structural practices common to nonresidential buildings. Emphasis on the practices and standards of working drawings.
Prerequisites: CAD165.

1. Create custom wall, door, window, and curtain wall styles using advanced architectural CAD software. (I)
2. Draw a commercial floor plan involving curtain walls, dimensioned and annotated using CAD software. (II)
3. Produce commercial exterior and interior elevations using advanced architectural CAD software. (II)
4. Develop a commercial building cross section and pertinent construction details using advanced features of architectural CAD software. (II)
5. Produce a reflected ceiling plan with a legend by means of CAD software. (II)
6. Load and utilize various column grids and structural members by means of advanced features of architectural CAD software. (II)
7. Use the capabilities of advanced architectural software to provide dimensions, notes, schedules, and legends required for the completion of working drawings. (III)
8. Plot a complete set of drawings of all course work using working drawing standards and practices current with modern hardware. (IV)
